North Korea

Big holiday in N.Korea today. They're expected to test another Nuke.... Apparently the USA have issued a warning to the Koreans, putting them and the world on notice.
N.Korea looks like they are gonna do the test anyway.
Probably some media sensationalism in there somewhere, but it looks like this game of brinkmanship could get messy....

Squeaky bum time!

I'd have thought closing your eyes and putting your hands over your ears would have been mentioned as well?

I recieved a pamphlet today explaining what to do in the event of a nuclear or chemical attack. Apparently the best course of action is to close your curtains and get under a nice big table.

Trump will do it for fun just to get the media off of his back.

I hope America hold back and try many other tactics, this is not the middle east, China and Russia will get pissed too.

Re: North Korea
It an impossible issue.

they have developed decent missile technology. They have developed nuclear. Sanctions wont matter because they'll let their people starve before they get to the point they can put a nuclear warhead on an ICBM.

The US simply cannot allow that, but bombing their military facilities will unleash 2 million north Korean troops on Seoul, which is catastrophic for the rest of us.

better get it done sooner rather than later.

Well I live here for Starters and I don’t fancy living in a post nuclear holocaust with mutants, freaks and oddballs, if I wanted that I would move to New Zealand……………….

What's the problem with nuking Australia?

You'd only lose the Northern part anyway, and it's pretty shit up there anyway with all the snakes, crocs and backpacker murderers.

Re: North Korea
Surely he’s going to “slip in the shower” or have some kind of fatal freak accident?

The blokes an embarrassment, he’s even threatening to nuke Australia now! Even the Chinese and Russians seem to be getting fed up with his antics, surely a few North Korean generals have had enough and can be persuaded to get this sorted?

Re: North Korea
personally if the UK were a couple of years away from having nuclear missiles directed at it by an unstable regime, i'd be happy to bomb the fuck out of it to stop them getting there.

Re: North Korea
When someone pulls up next to me at a set of traffic lights, starts glancing round and revving their engine, I tend to ignore it, let them pull away first then privately think "what a prick".

There must be an equivalent course of action here.

We don't want a fight with this country, but if they want to arm themselves up to defend themselves against an imagined foe let them get on with it. If we ignore them perhaps they'll get bored and stop trying to show off. Let's not give them a reason to push the button.
